Welcome to the default SAGE Enterprise web site. This web site exposes the SAGE functionality to users on the web. It consists of a set of web services and sample apps which connect to and use those web services.
The SAGE system provides a rich set of client applications, both traditional and web based, that support the visualization of time variant geospatial data from SAGE as well as third party services. The sample applications below are representative of the web based visualization clients provided with the SAGE system.
SAGEWeb - SAGEWeb is an example of a Rich Internet Application (RIA) developed using Microsoft's Silverlight framework. RIAs are a new class of web based application that attempt to provide interactivity as good, or better, than traditional applications while maintaining the ease of deployment and security of a traditional web application. SAGEMap - SAGEMap is a traditional Windows application that can be used to display information from a variety of SAGE and non-SAGE services. Click this link to download the SAGEMap installer.
The SAGE system consists of several servers. Each of these servers is implemented as a traditional service designed to be run on a local intranet. This architecture supports the flexible deployment of a SAGE installation on one or more servers and efficient client access withing the local network.
In addition, each of the SAGE services has been wrapped with a traditional SOAP/XML based web service to expose the SAGE service's functionality to the web. The links below will provide more detail on the web service API available for each of the services.

The Universal Data Discovery Interface (UDDI) provides a mechanism to publish information that describes where web services have been deployed and what functionality those web services provide. SAGE uses UDDI to publish the location of SAGE web services so that they can easily be incorporated into users visualization.
